Equipment control and functions
:: Operation
The panel monitors the pressure for each axle or group of axles by means of two independent pressure gauges. It also features light and sound indicators for warning the driver when any tire pressure drop occurs.
:: Panel Adjustment
Panels are adjusted in factory with the following specifications:
90 psi for front tires
110 psi for rear tires
For changing the calibration, proceed as indicated below.
:: Calibrating the panel
Place a sealing sleeve (JOM-027) on each panel air outlet (front and rear) in order to pressurize the pressure gauges, and then connect an air hose on the corresponding inlet line (center).
With the vehicle engine operating and the air reservoir charged, open the air valve located on the panel front corresponding to the pressure gauge that is being adjusted, and while looking at the pressure gauge, turn the pressure adjusting valve to the right for increasing the pressure or to the left for reducing it, until reaching the required calibration. Follow the same procedure for the other pressure gauge.
:: Adjusting the Alarm
With the air outlets closed, adjust the alarm by means of the adjusting screw located under the panel, using a ¼” long socket wrench (JOM-317).
Reduce the pressure in 10 psi from the pressure selected for use by turning the adjusting valve to the left. Once it is done, turn the adjusting screw to the right or to the left until the alarm rings. Proceed likewise for the other pressure gauge.
Once the panel adjustment is finished, remove the sealing sleeves and connect the airlines on the corresponding outlets and install the panel.
:: Lighting does not work
Check if the rear connector is well attached. Check if there is any blown fuse.
:: Pressure gauges do not pressurize
Check if the air valve is open; if yes, go to our Authorized Service Center Network.
:: Air valve closed, pressure gauge indication drops
Check if there is any connection with leakage in the system, or in the panel outlets or tire tube valves and if this is the case, go to our Authorized Service Center Network.
In case of air leakage, the sound alarm will be activated and the corresponding light signal will turn on. Then, perform the following procedures:
Shut off the air valve and check the pressure drop time.
If it is slow (longer than 5 minutes), the leakage is small and the tire shall be repaired.
If it is fast, change the tire as soon as possible.
:: Important
For higher equipment efficiency, it is advisable to daily purge the air reservoir.
Equipment Maintenance
:: Leakage:
In case of air leakage, the sound alarm will be activated and the corresponding light signal will turn on. Then, perform the following procedures on the leakage.
Look for tire problems, and should they be confirmed, go to a tire repair shop.
When changing the tire, it is necessary to disassemble the wheel connections. PFor removing the wheel, it is not necessary to remove the kinematic cup.
If the tires do not feature problems, go to the Authorized Service Center Network for a detailed leakage inspection.
Recommemdations
Keep the panel air valve open;
Regularly drain the vehicle’s air reservoirs, in order to remove water and oil from the system;
Always pay attention to leaks;
Keep the vehicle’s compressor in good operation conditions;
Keep the external hoses, pipes and wheel caps in good conditions;
It is recommended a general equipment overhaul every six months on our Authorized Service Center Network;
Always use JOMAR original parts.
